Long Term involves an in-depth exploration of personality and the roots of distress. Short Term provides a focus on specific problems and behaviour that you would like to overcome. Finding the right counsellor or psychotherapist for you can be the first step towards regaining meaning in your life and reduce distress
Counselling and psychotherapy can be a freeing process to help you move on with your life

What do I offer?

I predominately offer a psychodynamic approach which is particularly beneficial for those who have lost meaning in their lives or have difficulty forming or maintaining personal relationships. This approach can also be helpful with a wide variety of issues including:

Family Issues
Anxiety and depression
Self-esteem issues
Childhood Trauma
Sexual assault/abuse
Relationship issues
Work-related stress
Critical Incident Debriefing

Psychodynamic psychotherapy aims to bring the unconscious mind into consciousness. Through this process, clients gain self- knowledge through self- reflection of their internal life and behaviour. This enables clients to become more self-aware and make conscious changes in their daily life to reduce their levels of distress.

Solution Focused Therapy

I offer Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Counselling with some Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Whilst Psychodynamic Psychotherapy is a depth-oriented approach, it explores how unconscious thoughts, past experiences, and early relationships influence current behaviour and emotions.  Solution Focused Counselling (SFC) and Cognitive behavioural therapy is a short-term, goal-oriented approach that helps individuals find strategies and solutions to cope in the here and now.

Solution-Focused Counselling (SFC)

I have over a decade of experience offering clients Solution Focused Counselling (SFC) both globally for the Employee Assistance Programme, but also with clients in my own private practice.  Clients use their sessions to find excellent solutions to their current personal or professional difficulties.

SFC is a short-term, goal-oriented approach that helps individuals identify and build on their strengths to find practical solutions to their work-related challenges. Instead of delving deeply into problems, each session is tailored towards a desired outcomes and how to achieve it.  We would look together at how you are already doing well and expand on that.

Low motivation or burnout
Conflict resolution
Career planning or transitions
Time management or productivity issues
Stress or workload concerns
Grief, separation, divorce, due to work related or personal issues
Anxiety, depression, Post Traumatic stress or any mental health issue

I offer tailored Counselling to promote client well-being and enhance the quality of an individual’s life.
